Mineurs isolés

Ils viennent du Moyen-Orient, d’Asie Centrale, d’Afrique, de l’Inde… Ils ont moins de 18 ans et ils sont seuls. Ils sont désignés administrativement comme MIE : Mineurs Isolés Etrangers. Ils seraient plus de 6000 en France. Selon les âges, les histoires de vie, les nationalités, les personnalités… les parcours administratifs et personnels de chacun d’eux peuvent être très différents.

Le travail photographique présenté ici a été réalisé en janvier et février 2012 avec 8 jeunes, Mineurs Isolés Etrangers ou jeunes majeurs arrivé en France comme MIE. J’ai invité chacun d’eux à prendre des photos à l’aide d’un appareil jetable, afin d’apporter des visions de l’intérieur sur leur quotidien. Les 8 témoignages photographiques sont accompagnés des interviews des jeunes concernés.
Ma volonté est ici de sortir ces enfants ou jeunes adultes de la masse des chiffres, et de replacer la question de leur immigration sur un plan plus humain que statistique.

Foreign Unaccompanied Minor

They come from The Middle East, Central Asia, Africa, India… They are less than 18 years old and they are on their own. In France, they are administratively appointed as MIE : Mineurs Isolés Etrangers (Foreign Unaccompanied Minor). They would be more than 6000 in the french territory. According to their ages, their stories of life, their nationalities, their personalities… the administrative and personal routes of each of them can be very different.
The photographic work presented here was realized in January and February, 2012 with 8 young people, Mineurs Isolés Etrangers or young adults arrived in France as MIE. I invited each of them to take their own pictures, in order to bring visions of the inside on their everyday life. Each photographic testimony is presented with the interview of the concerned young person.

My will is here to take out these children or young adults of the mass of figures, and to replace the question of their immigration on a more human than statistics plan.
